Multi track recording app

Does anyone know of an Iphone- Ipad app that would let me record 2 or 3 tracks separately, but play back simultaneously? It doesn't have to be high quality. Voice memo using the phone microphone would be fine. I just want to hear what some harmony part ideas I have would sound like.
All the best.

Re: Ebony chanters: humidity, bore shrinkage and re-boring

When a wooden tube dries and shrinks, it's the wall thickness that thins. The outer circumference shrinks, but the inner bore actually expands, so re-boring sounds like odd advice.

Re: Chanter rush, lowering pitch causes auto cran.

I have several reeds, some made by Froment, and some made by a piper friend who is a very good, very experienced reedmaker. They all respond about the same way, generally sharp in the right hand and very sharp on F#. A couple of them are very good reeds except for this F# vs. low D issue. Bag pressu...

Re: Chanter rush, lowering pitch causes auto cran.

I have tried filling the top part of the hole to the point of choking off the note, and it was still way too sharp.

Chanter rush, lowering pitch causes auto cran.

I have a Froment B chanter. Both octaves of F# are very sharp. I realize that the solution may be a new reed, but not being a reed maker (yet), I have been seeing what I can do with rushing. The maker supplied the chanter with a rush from the bell up to G to lower the whole right hand. I have taped ...

Uilleann pipes at the NAMM show

At the end of a long day at last weekends' NAMM music trade show, I found myself suddenly in front of a set of pipes, and they weren't made in Pakistan. In fact, they weren't even for sale, but part of an exhibition of handcrafted instruments. Made by John Pederson and displayed in a free-standing d...

Has the Pipers' Review gone defunct?

The last issue I received was summer 2010. Volume 29, #3.
I sent a couple of emails to find out if my subscription had lapsed, but haven't had any reply. And, there aren't any newer issues archived on the other forum.
What's the status? Who's cage should I rattle?

Re: Mainstock cup design

Michael Hubbert's D pipes are modeled after an original Crowley set he owns. My Hubbert D set has that 3rd type cup mount. However, I think he told me a year or two ago he was not using that design on his latest pipes.

iPhone apps for U.P.'s ?

I'm new to the world of IPhones and I'm wondering, besides Michael Eskins' wonderful apps, what other people are using their iPhones for that is playing related. Either a built in function or an app. A quick search of the app store showed about a dozen different tuners. Are any of them any good, and...

I wonder if there was a photographer around when the piper was sitting on the German stormtroopers' back while playing for Hitler?
