Re: Mollenhauer versus other brands of recorders

It's about the same. There's not much difference between one recorder and another. Except that on the "modern" instruments you don't have to hold back on the low notes.

Re: Mollenhauer versus other brands of recorders

To do my best, I want something that will be easier to play on the high and low notes, if that actually exists. Re: Eagle Alto Recorder by Adriana

What do you guys think? octave key, metal labium? http://www.adrianabreukink.com/Eagle.html I played it for 2 seconds and gave it back with a "thanks but no thanks". It sounds vaguely like a recorder, and I guess if you play in a folk band the character will come through. Or maybe if you ...

I have a grenadilla soprano that was several hundreds more expensive than the same model in boxwood. Fully worth the difference. Bea...

Re: Advice on getting a Shawm or Rauschpfeife or similar, please

Hi all, I'm considering adding a shawm or something similarly squawky & medieval to my arsenal - ideally something in G or D so that I can use it for Morris, Very late reply..... I see that some people are recommending krumhorns or kelhorns. Apart from the fact that people who are serious about...
