Interesting as it's on the Shannon that I'm finding the "different" C nat. Walt recommends OXX XOO on his fingering chart (button at bottom of page) . When I play I find this just a bit flat of OXX OXX. OXX XOX sounds a bit muffled to me. Different techniques, lips, or ways of hearing per...

On my Walt Sweet Shannon oxx xox is the most in tune Cnat, sometimes I exchange it with oxx oxx for convenience. Most everything else is sharp. On whistles I use mostly oxx ooo (sometimes oxx oxx) which works quite OK for me. Slight adaptation required every time, but nothing major.

To me that case looks great to say the least. Sturdy, well padded interior, solid clasps. Dovetail joints and the tarnished look is sweet.

Flute in F above C (or G above D, if you prefer). It's sounds a lot like "I before E except after C". :-) But making an acronym like FaCoGaD would make a terrible name though :-) Since its a Perfect fourth above the regular flute it would be fun to make a play out of that. But again names...
