Surely an error £11k seems a bit steep.

Re: Ebay Items

For what it's worth I've never seen a Pakistani half set with bass drone bends made from one continuous piece of tubing. Usually have a, not particularly to scale, wooden section in the middle.

Re: Are DRONES essential in learning process?

Whatever form the initial spark of interest may be is largely irrelevant. Whether it's Spillane or Ennis, it's where you go from there that is important.. therapy in quite a few cases :)

Re: Are DRONES essential in learning process?

I wonder how many people took up the pipes as a direct result of watching Davey Spillane playing on the Point Theatre recording? 22 years ago now.. Interesting the visual impact the full set makes even though it's just the chanter being played, admittedly with effects and synths.

Re: Pillar Mounted Chanter Keys

Depending on where you're based in the UK you could always try contacting Andy Wheeldon at the woodwind making school of Newark and Sherwood college (now part of Lincoln college) One of the students may well be interested in helping you. It's the type of thing I did along side college work when I wa...

Re: Chanter, e 2nd octave

Instead of putting tape over the lower hole, try making the dia of both E holes slightly smaller by circling the inside of the holes with either blue tac or paper as both are easy to adjust and remove. If it works then you could turn some hole liners out of PVC or similar material, friction fit so t...
