Sounds like awesome whistles! :)

However, the only thing that really stuck in my mind was the phrase 'wooden whistle'.

That's strange, because I communicated with him using email, in english.
The emails he sent back were always in english too.

It took 6 weeks for it to get from Serbia to New Zealand.

But no one here seems to know much about frula's, and I figured that it's not much different from a tin whistle with a thumbhole.
