Re: Questions about New Burke Whistle
Thank you. What are the tuning tendencies of Burke whistles? What notes tends to be in tune, sharp or flat? Maybe I am used to but I don't think Burke has out-of-tune-tones issue. And if it has, then it's less than any other whistle I have. EDIT: Sorry, I missed you have Narrow bore. I have Session...

Re: Question: medium holed rudalls and loud sessions
I wouldn’t dare to say I’m good player, but OPs question is very close to me. I used to play LeJeune Standard (which should be somewhere between R&Rque and Pratenesque) several years and about a month ago I switched to Watson. Yes, first days was quite terrible, differrent, especially first hour...

Re: I apparently play flat and have trouble fixing it
Oh god, I wish I'd play flat.
I usually play sharp as hell, regardless on tuning slide (moreless). Once I stop paying attention to tuner or play alone, I play at least 10 cents sharper (proven by RTTA tuner).

Re: Low D, low air
Thanks for the comment about the MK. I had it in my head they needed a lot of air. Actually, in compare with my first low D ("noname"), MK needs quite a lot of air. But it rewards you by loud playing. My "noname" low D has weak low tones, especially "E" (but "D&qu...

Re: Newbie question on rolls
I'm not sure I really mastered rolls (rolls on A and B are still a bit of challenge), but something like roll I did after about half year of practicing. But not by trying roll after roll, just normally learning tunes, slow play with "rolls". What probably helps me was trying rolls on low D...

Re: Flutini
Which version is working in your 10.6.8? Native(original mac version) or "winebottled"(MS Win app "bottled" into Wine)? "Winebottled" version has all bugs which has original MS Win app, of course (it is the same app, just covered by Wine to be able to run on Mac) plus o...

Re: Flutini
In my post above is link to (original) Flutini.app.tar.gz and "winebottled" Flutini.dmg (winebottled version should work in Snow Leopard, but if original version works for you, use it). Or you can create own winebottled flutini.exe if you don't trust me - it's easy and usefull links are al...

Re: 2014 - ROLL CALL for C&F Whistlers & Learners
Hi, I'm learning to play whistle second year. A three months ago* I also started to learn play flute which is probably too early, but I like it. I'm currently learning "Arianna's tower" and "The High Reel". *) Actually six months if you count my attempt to make pvc flute. But sin...

Re: Flutini
Hi, because Flutini for Mac, flutini.app.tar.gz, isn't available on http://www.novasession.org/Flutini/ (I got "Page not found" instead of this app) , I tried to make "winebottled" version: Flutini.dmg (Mac Intel only) It is original flutini.exe which MS Win users already knows. ...
