He didn't say there was a debate It sure sounded like 'debate' to me. Maybe he was just switching channels really fast while his friend translated! I got the transcript from the Washington Post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A50470-2004Aug31.html . Could be inaccurate I guess. I woul...

Back to Arnold's speech, I found his story of how he became a Republican during the Nixon-Humphrey debate very interesting. What is most interesting about it is the fact that this debate never happened. He didn't say there was a debate, this was the quote: The presidential campaign was in full swin...

Re: Stage fright and finger control
You see, the only time I ever tried to play a musical instrument (a guitar) in a "performance" venue, my stage fright was so bad that I lost all control of my fingers. I could still sing, but the guitar was purely a visual ornament. If your fingers don't cooperate but you could still sing...

I recently downloaded a pirated copy of the CD, and I've been wondering how trustworthy Music Scotland is since they are one of only two vendors I could find who have the DVD. Amazon has the CD, and I've been checking frequently to see if they have the DVD yet... I've done busines with them in the ...

Re: OT: Sharing
Does anyone recall the concept of sharing? Apparently modern television advertising has decided that it is OK to be stingy and selfish if the product is good enough. Well this thread has meandered around but getting back to your original point it does seem like the concept of "sharing as a vir...

Re: Thank you, Gaelic Storm
I had to pick up my kids at camp and it's usually an overnight trip and we pass through Columbus. SOOOO, I dragged the wife to the Dublin (Ohio) Irish Festival. She wasn't against it, it's just not her thing. We watched the Kells, who were good, and had some fish and chips and visited Mike Burke at...

Tarzan wasn't raised by apes; he was raised by aristocratic brits, his real name is Lord someoneorother. It is a well kept secret that aristocratic Brits issue elulating howls when the tea is too sweet, or whatever and only the servants are about. The Code of Silence has begun to crumble, however. ...
