Re: Different Delrin Feels
One may be able to solve the problem this way. Paste rectangles of moleskin on the delrin flute. They stick quite nicely. Put one where the flute rests on the left hand, one where my rt pinky rests on the flute, and one where the rt thumb goes. Then, roughen the moleskin by putting superglue or som...

M&E Polymer 6-key flute
I purchased this the end of last summer, and have not found the time to make progress (I will stick with my Boehm and my simple Irish flutes). It should go to someone who is more motivated to use this beautiful instrument. I have played on it less than 10 hours...it comes with the very nice hard cas...

It should go to someone who is more motivated to use this beautiful instrument. I have played on it less than 10 hours...it comes w...

Re: M&E 6 Key
I own an 8 key Ebonite M&E Flute.... I only wish that the sharp edges of the holes had been smoothed off, it would have made it a more enjoyable instrument to play. This is quite easy for anyone who services clarinets...this is a problem with polymer clarinets as well, I 'ease' the edges often ...

Re: Thoughts on copper vs aluminum whistle
A newbie here to the irish whistle/flute crowd, but a lifelong wind player. I find it interesting that there is the same material/design, religion/science discussion here as on the saxophone and flute (Boehm) sites. Two other observations that relate to materials offering change in characteristics: ...
