Slow Down Recommendations for Mac
It's been a long while since I've been in the market for a good slow down software program for my mac. What's good out there?

Tune ID Please
Greetings, I'm learning a tune I only have listed as "Track 25" in my music collection. It's a gorgeous one and I'd like it's name if anyone knows it. Here's my draft version on the flute (I know there's fancier ways to post clips, but I only thought of using Boxnet), https://app.box.com/s...

Tune Recognition Software Question
Anyone have a recommendation for tune recognition software or app for iphone/mac? I've been successfully using Tunepal, but it recently decided to reject my submissions of tunes, rudely informing me that it didn't hear enough notes.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Posting clips
Arbo - The volume was perfect, actually. The second tune seems like a challenging one with the octave changes and all. What flute do you have, I like the sound. I was trying to figure out what well known player your sound reminds me of. A bit like John Skelton but something else is in there two. It'...

Thanks Arbo -
I play an Olwell pratten. I also quite liked your reels. You put in some nice, subtle ornaments. Not overblown, but tasteful. Keep up the good work!

Re: Posting clips
Thanks for the feedback akiba -
I cran by hitting the d then lifting the f#, then the e and back to d. I learned somewhere that that's one of the many possibilities for cran.
P.S. after December your plumb out of excuses for hooking up

That sounded pretty good to me. They were close indeed. The second to last jig you played (the one before Christe Barry's) had a tricky part at the beginning of the B part but you seemed to get it. It sounded like some tricky fingering.
Good job.

I've been trying to work on glottal stops but I'm not sure I even really know that they are. I've been making a "Ch" sound while a play and trying to push slightly from the abdomen. Can someone tell me if they hear anything like a glottal stop on this track? http://www.box.net/shared/c49q8...

June McCormack flute book
I just saw a video of her playing and immediately ordered her flute tutorial. She's a lovely style.
Anyone have this book? Any critiques here?

Re: Tendenitus/Carpal Tunnel
Thanks Danny for the posting the link about how to include pictures. Brendan - That's right on. I think that may be it. I've already been going to a doctor. Now I've got some good info. Does anyone else remember the time when you'd see a doctor and the doctor would tell you what the problem was???? ...

How do you use the "Img" function for a .jpg file? I've been trying to figure it out.

Yeah, I took the photos using iMac Photobooth so what appears as my right wrist in the photos is, in fact, the left.
