You may find it useful too. The tongue is styrene but a cane one should be similar. A drawing with measurements is also shown.

Re: Scammers at it again.
Give me a break, guys! Those bellows tubes are no longer available. ($6.95) I thought I was providing a service to pipers that didn't have tools handy or didn't want ten feet of tubing laying around. You think I got rich selling the few that people requested? , PayPal, eBay, envelopes and gas got mo...

What's the big mystery on the price. Must inquire if interested? How much is it? That's like going to a sale where nothing is marked with the price. I just walk away.

Re: Patrick Sky's "Budget" vs. David Daye Penny
As the owner of a Daye concert D penny chanter, I would say; "Don' Buy One!" There is absolutely no customer service. My repeated emails to David Daye have gone unanswered. Seems the several posts on this forum indicating my displeasure at being ignored also went unheeded. Get any other ki...

Been searching for a bellows shape and design to base a self-made one on that I like. Any more photos of the bellows? Thanks for posting that picture of the pipes.

Re: Those reeds/worth a look
The reed that came with my chanter doesn't work at all. I just received the three reeds ordered plus one free from this vendor. All four reeds are at least producing a sound. The free reed's bottom id is 1/8" (3.15mm). The other three bottom interior diameters measures about 7/64" (2.74mm)...

How to Thicken Leather Flappers
Have had some success recently making leather thicker and stiffer for flapper valves. Place a 3 inch square piece of leather in boiling water for about 30 seconds. Pour cold water over it until you are able to handle it. Flatten out the curled up leather and weight over night. (Not too heavy a weigh...

I'm glad it's not just me. They sounded nothing like his Dave Williams set. A real disappointment!
