Re: delrin/polymer

M&Es are also heavy. Copley is AFAIK a great hybrid design, you may look into the custom hole positions option. Some flutes with smaller holes are M&E (but they are heavy!), Somers smaller Rudall model, McGee - some models (may be hard to get). I'd go for Somers, since they are also reasonab...

Re: FS: M & E Keyless Polymer Flute Key Of D With Joint Rings

Crickett, my M&E had "M & E / Rudall & Rose" on its end cap, that's a sure indicator :) though there may be R&R model flutes without this inscription.

Re: iPhone: backup to cloud or computer?

AFAIK iCloud backs up less things (can't find which at the moment), and the data goes through the Internet not just your USB or Wi-Fi. That's the current deviation from the 'it just works' mantra.

Innocent Bystander - only one kind of backup can be automatic.

Re: Geek Question: iTunes

Playing AAC is rather simple, there's an architecture for 'filters' (like splitters, decoders) called DirectShow and Windows Media Player can use any of them. Re: Geek Question: iTunes

There are now no DRMs (nasty restrictions) on iTunes Store songs. Labels (the nasty guys) got variable pricing for that.
Just make sure your PCs or players understand the AAC format (*.m4a).

Re: Sopilka

Actually sopilka used to have the good old 6 holes and is I think pretty similar to other Eastern European whistles. Russian/Ukrainian trad music lives on mostly through 'academic folk' (trad + popular = folk, trad + state/official/classical = this). So it was redesigned to have 10 holes (nonstandar...
