Re: Grinter flute for sale
Grinter six keyed flute, Australian Lancewood, solid silver keys, made 2012. The wood and silverware are pristine throughout, no cracks, leaks or scratches. The flute has been played-in but has been only lightly used due to a number of operations on a damaged wrist. I have had this flute from new. ...

FS: Martin Doyle flute with 2 added keys
I purchased this from the IrishFluteStore about a year ago. Lovely player, but I now have another flute that I play more often. The flute had the G# and Fnat keys when I purchased it - IrishFluteStore said they were added later, but I forget by whom. They work well, though, and are a nice addition. ...

Re: Carbony High D
I have a Carbony high D that I really like. I'm not a fan of high-backpressure or really loud whistles, so like you I was disappointed by some more expensive options myself. However, once I got a Carbony I was very happy. The volume balance across the octaves is great, and it's the most in-tune whi...

Re: Now I'll have to rethink the whole backpressure thing again.
Also, my group is Electric guitar/Bass/Drums, and is pretty high energy. I could mess with monitor adjustment all I wanted too, but it's more about how it plays... especially if I go between singing and playing. I'm a pretty loud singer, so to adjust how I'm blowing/breathing way back down again af...

Re: Now I'll have to rethink the whole backpressure thing again.
You mention that this is a mic'd situation ... do you have a monitor? If so, a bit more volume in the monitor might help if you're overblowing in order to either hear yourself or feel that you're meeting the dynamic of the group. (You may, however, be referring to the ability to "push" or ...

Re: Lofgren vs Impempe, other high-quality whistles
Strange comment when I'd have said it was the norm among the quality makers who offer them! Hmmm ... yes, true. That was my subjective preference speaking. A more accurate way to say it: I like all the keys I've tried equally, which hasn't been true (for me) with any other maker. (I've tried Hans B...

Re: Lofgren vs Impempe, other high-quality whistles
I'll second the comments Lars made about Löfgren whistles. I have an alloy D, C, A and G and they're all wonderful. It's unusual to find a maker who excels at multiple keys. Personal preference is a factor, as always, but these suit me perfectly.

Dropping the price again, although I'd rather not go lower than this for personal financial reasons. $400 + $15 shipping to US.
Thanks!
