Sweetheart whistle
I have a Single key Sweetheart whistle. It was sold to me as a Killourhy Model Whistle but it looks just like the Sweetheart Blackwood Whistle - Key of D with Sterling Silver Rings image (with the added key, of course) on the www.whistleshop.com website. It has the Sweetheart logo stamped into the w...

Re: What guitar to buy? Please read for more info I need help..
Take a look at Art & Lutherie guitars. http://www.artandlutherieguitars.com I own both a Martin D15 solid Mahogany and an A&L Natural Cedar Solid Top. The Martin is a great sounding guitar but will cost you $800-$1000. The A&L with the same strings and set-up as the Martin sounds every b...

Re: Just got my Jerry freeman C/D mellow dog
Just wanted to chime in that I received my Freeman Blackbird from the whistleshop last week and I couldn't be happier with it. Thank you again Jerry.

Book opinions?
Can anyone give me their opinion on the book "Mel Bay The Essential Guide to Irish Flute and Tin Whistle" by Grey Larsen? Is there any other book(s) with CD's that would be better for a beginning whistle player?

Re: Whistle Mystery
Thanks for the pictures Jerry. Yes that is what I have (although someone on thesession.org stated it was a Walton's) Judging from the age (1990's) was that before Walton took over Soodlum's? By "fill the cavity under the windway" do you mean the poster putty tweak that I have read about he...

Whistle Mystery
I have an inexpensive whistle purchased in the early 90's. It's brass with a green plastic mouthpiece. The only label is a clear plastic sticker that says "D Tin Whistle - Irish Made" with some scrolly (sp?) filligree around it. No manufacturer. The plastic mouthpiece is not round where it...
