The Mezzo F is coming down to $15. If you are looking to get started in the world of lows and learn pipers grip, look no further.

FS: 2 unmundodebambu Quenas, E major
I've got 2 bamboo quenas from unmundodebambu.com that I need to sell to clear the way for a host of new quenas I've got coming in. I've done a lot of listening, and these quenas have some of the best first octave quena tone I have ever heard. The mouthpieces are inlayed hardwood and the quenas look ...

FS: Erik the Flutemaker Low D
I've got an Erik the Flutemaker low D flute ("Irish," but also somewhat asian/bansuri-like – just an ethnic bamboo flute). This is going for $80. It was More than $120 new and it is in excellent condition. Comes with leather bag. It has a phenomenal tone and is in tune for 1.5 octaves. I'v...

FS: Susato Low D, F, Mezzo Bb, Sop D and Eb, Flutes
I'm clearing out some of the old intermediary collection of instruments to clear the way and make a bit of money for a few more refined instruments. These instruments are still useful for me, but with my financial situation I need to sell to help me to buy. First up: I'm selling my Susato Low D. Tun...

I like that he plays the sofa with the recorders. Finally, a good use for them. Sofa sticks.

Re: I Think I Might Have a Ghost...
Incorporeal as he was, I felt the weight of his paws on my chest as he walked across it to get my attention. THAT's a cool story. Glad you liked mine. I left out that I cautiously proceeded into the room and pet the cat. He did not disappear or dissolve into a swarm of roaches and scorpions, disper...

Re: I Think I Might Have a Ghost...
Interesting thread. I used to have a big, long-haired, gray and white tuxedo cat. Sharp as a tack, frighteningly genius, and very sweet. He was somewhat vocal, but only on occasions: begging and greeting, but only once you had already acknowledged him. He would typically not meow loudly from another...

Re: I need a Quena, and Fast
Ah, custom quena making. Sweet. I have an Acha, and it is pretty wide, large holes. Don't know if you are familiar with that make but I can play it in tune, or sharp if I want. If you are familiar with his quenas, that will give an idea. Do keep me posted on the materials situation; thanks.

Re: I need a Quena, and Fast
Hey Ted, those quenas look great. I most like the looks of the E, based on the proportionally longer, narrower embouchure that it has (my preference). I'd love to hear some recordings of them! Or you could do a youtube video demonstrating the different keys. That would be profoundly helpful. Its sum...

Re: I don't like fast Irish tradition music. Give me my airs.
According to the research I've done on the history of Irish traditional music, the slow, mournful brand of Celtic music predates the faster dance styles and even Ireland itself, hearkening back to more ancient Celtic roots. The Celts, if you don't know, came to Ireland from somewhere in continental ...
