Carbony practice set uilleann pipes

Hello, I bought this set on a very spur of the moment decision. Turns out I have zero interest in learning the pipes. I am going back to the flute. I am looking to trade for a nice flute or sell outright. This set is in pristine condition. New $1,350 USD…would sell for $1,100 USD or trade for flute ...

Want to trade Carbony practice set for flute

Hello everyone! I bought a Carbony practice set ( 1,300 USD) and I have zero interest in it…It is a very high quantity instrument and in pristine condition….it has been looked at and played by a piper friend who has tweaked the reed and he is as equally impressed as I am. I am looking to get back at...

Re: FS: Musique Morneaux - Low D Mopane Wood

Thank you Kevin! Wasn’t sure if it was tapered or just a conical bore...that puts it out for me, sold my Copeland low D because of the extreme taper....it it tapered as much as a Copeland? I am playing an MK pro now and don’t mind it at all.....I was allergic to my cocobolo Grinter but still want wo...

Re: FS: Musique Morneaux - Low D Mopane Wood

I have looked at this post so many times...this is exactly what I am looking for except the offset finger holes...possibly why you haven't sold it...I would have bought this long ago otherwise...another blackwood one showed up here...also with offset finger holes...I could possibly make the finger a...

The Wild Irish Whistle by McNeela

Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone has any experience or knows anything about this new brand? The write up on the website are hilarious! They look like anodized Lir whistles...I am tech illiterate but I may try to share a link if I can figure it out...I am looking forward to any extra info....tha...

Re: Help with the Belfast polka, please

 Hahaha Mr. Gumby....edited my post...yes, less would be in this case! I wouldn’t play bottom D double cranns or double rolls for that matter...the post was asking how to play four D’s in a row...this was my solution....never thought it to be a good idea  I don’t comprehend ABC notation bu...

Re: Help with the Belfast polka, please

After just trying the tune, I would just stare at the floor until it is over  quick double rolls help but starting on the D they would be double cranns...not the easiest ornament, esp when doubling it....The B and A are easy enuff to double roll though...versions submitted here start on G...you...

Re: Copeland Low D Whistle on Ebay

Yeah, they are pretty much free blowing....zero back pressure I’ve felt...I traded mine, one I’d play for many year, because of the extreme taper on the lower hand....it becomes slightly “claw like”....a cylindrical bore is like having your fingers flat on a table...not so with that taper...it just ...

Re: WTB: Low D Whistles (Also other keys)

For anyone interested in the Grinter low F....I looked at the add thinking it may have been one of mine I sold due to rosewood allergies....the add says the wood is mopane, which is non allergenic. Pretty certain it is cocobolo/rosewood....so if one is prone to wood allergies, this one would not be ...

[There was] a former member who offered to make my newer head fit my old set....sent them all his way and never heard from him again... If his life wasn't cut short, then he was a scoundrel. He was a longtime member and contributed to a lot of the posts....from his older posts, one would gather tha...
