Re: Flutes in Camden Market, London 80/90's's

Thanks but I don't think it was either Steve Chambers or Paul Davis both of whom I vaguely remember. This guy had a very small shop close to the lock not a market stall.

"anything from a g and above really needs to be screaming to come through". Work on your embouchure could make those higher notes easier.

Re: Irish flute tutors in Warwickshire or nearby?

Sorry, can't help you with a tutor only a suggestion. There are sessions in the Birmigham area, go along and ask any flute players if they know. https://thesession.org/sessions/search?day=&q=Birmingham&page=1 There is also a South Birmingham Comhaltas branch you could contact - https://comha...

Re: Flute Embrochure

This may help, it's the best video I've seen on forming an embouchure - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goCd1mEWsWs&t=565s

Terry McGee has some helpful info on his website

Tara Diamond - mp3's from tape recordings of Tara at a Willie week flute class in the early 90's. There maybe a few that aren't her.

Excessive saliva when playing

I've been re-learning my embouchure after an infection in my jaw which left me with a numbness in my left cheek and left side of my mouth and stopped me playing for several years. It's come back ok, it's slightly different and a bit stronger than before but I seem to be producing more saliva which i...

I have some mp3's from tape recordings of Tara at a Willie week flute class in the early 90's. There's about a ten of them quite short - could post if anyone's interested

Re: It's that time of year again
